Atlantic-airways-Faroe-Islands

The Faroe Islands, one of the few places in the world where nature is still unspoiled, unexplored and untouched.  The islands provide a perfect opportunity to go off the beaten path to explore the stunning natural beauty without being far away from civilization.
The Faroe Islands seems remote but in reality, they are well connected to Copenhagen, Denmark and Reykjavik, Iceland. There are daily flights between Vagar, the only international airport on the Faroe Islands and Copenhagen by SAS (Scandinavia airline) and Atlantic airway, the national airline of the Faroe Islands.

There are numerous things to do in Faroe islands but one must consider these 7 must-have experiences in the Faroe Islands.

1. Explore Mykines Island

Mykines is the most beautiful island on the Faroes and a must-see. Easily accessed from the island of Vagar by taking a short ferry or a helicopter ride. The hiking trail to the Mykines Hólmur Lighthouse is the best way to see the island and the Puffins.

2. Hike in Kalsoy to Kallur Lighthouse

Another beautiful and remote island is accessed by a short ferry from Klaksvik, the second biggest city in the Faroe Islands. Kalsoy has numerous hiking trails but the hike to Kallur Lighthouse is one of the best hikes. The Jaw-dropping mountains rising hundreds of meters directly from the ocean near the lighthouse are breathtaking.
